On behalf of Council of the St. James’ Anglican School, we are delighted to invite expressions of interest for the position of Treasurer and Member of School Council.
St James’ Anglican School is a co-educational school of the Anglican Schools Commission (Inc.) (ASC) and is located in the thriving northern beach suburb of Alkimos, 40kms north of the Perth CBD. The School opened in 2015 and has already grown to be a campus of 720 students. St James’ expects to reach full enrolment of 1,100 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 in just a few years from now. See www.stjames.wa.edu.au for further information on the school.
Council seeks to appoint an additional member to the already capable team of Council members, someone who will also be asked to serve as Treasurer. This is a critically important role for School Council requiring a senior and highly experienced accounting/finance professional who ideally also brings previous experience serving on a Board or Council.
Appropriate and contemporary tertiary and professional qualifications in accounting or finance are required. You may also have some background related to secondary or tertiary education. Previous experience with an ASC or other low fee school, either as a parent or student, may also be of interest to Council.
Intending applicants should be aware that Council and the ASC will give preference to participating members of an Anglican Church.
People interested in considering this opportunity are encouraged to contact Geoff Blades on 9221 0744 or email@example.com for a preliminary confidential discussion.
Alternatively, please forward your expression of interest and comprehensive CV to firstname.lastname@example.org quoting reference number LB302415.
